Slopy hill. They were standing in the distance, coats glistening in the sunlight.
I sat with my back to them, closed my eyes and went to that far off place.
"Thud! Thud!" ...... "Crunch! Crunch crunch crunch"
The thuds followed by a tremble in the ground I was sitting on.
The crunches continued. Some great beast chewing on something.
"Thud! Thud!" Pause. "Crunch crunch crunch"
Much closer.
A blast of hot air towards my right ear.
"Sniff sniff ", another blast of hot air.
"Shlurp" something wet and soft attached itself to my head.
"Giggle....giggle", I laughed softly, thinking, "One has not lived until they've been kissed on the head by a horse."
We playfully nudged each other with our heads like old friends.
One Love
p.s Another two horses came by to say hello. I started humming to one and when I stopped it got a little upset and nudged me on the head to continue. Could I say no to a 700 pound creature?
