What will you make of today? What will you do with it? Consider life today your oven. What will you bake in it today?
Today does come to you, and it brings what it brings with it. It may well bring surprises for you. The day is innocent. It is not responsible for what it brings, for the day is an innocent carrier. What do you bring to the day, beloveds? As the receiver of the day, do you not have some say as to how you walk through it? Whatever the day today carries, you carry it as well. It is up to you how you greet the day and what you make of it. You can make of it what you will.
Perhaps you are like a UPS man who delivers a package of today to himself. May he deliver every package to everyone with a smile on his face and brighten everyone's day, and let him open the one earmarked for himself with a smile as well. Of course, the UPS man is not responsible for everyone's day. He delivers a wrapped package. Each who opens his package of the day is responsible for his day. No one is to think of today as a day foisted upon him. It is a day to receive. Whatever today may hold for you, you can know in advance that it holds blessings for you. Whatever else your day may contain, blessings will go along with it. Every day has blessings for you.
Days may contain annoyances and even deep hurt, and yet each day holds blessings for all. The sun shines. Rain pours. Yet in every case, the day is bringing you a gift. The day itself is a gift. Think of it, a day from Me to you, a day with your name on it, a day from God to you. Will you consider opening My gift to you with joy? Pull the wrappings off and see what is inside. See what you can do with it.
Today is a once-in-a-lifetime gift. The same day is given to everyone, and yet each day is unique for you and everyone. How is that possible? And yet it is.
Whether today has snow or rain or bright sunshine, the day is delivered to you in the same spirit. It is a special delivery for you.
Consider each day Christmas or your birthday. Consider each day a celebration. Each day is a celebration. Each day is a part of life, and even in the part, all of life is contained. Each day is like DNA. Everyone has it, and everyone's day is unique, and yet every day is shared with everyone else. DNA is a wonderful thing. Each day is too. May your day be magnificent. May you make it so.
Every day is your day to make something of. It is the clay given to you to mold. How will you shape your day today? Let every day exist with an outpouring of love from you.
Each day moves you forward. It is like you ride on a train, and each day you move up to a new car in front. The same train, yet a new car, and a new ride on the same train.
Hooray, hooray, for a new day! Hooray for its arrival. And hooray for its closing, for close upon it follows another new day and another, all ready for you to delight in. Such are the days provided for you chock-full of fresh opportunity, all fresh, all new, nothing stale, nothing left over but the joy of your anticipation.
