Sharon asks God about the ego and why it exists…

God Said:

Sharon, you agreed before you came that you would say yes to experience this contrast of spirit vs. ego. You were excited about it and understood that the purpose was to help you grow, learn and experience remembering who you are while on this earth. You looked forward to the challenge the ego would bring and realized that your spirit is who you are - the ego is a false expression - not the true blue truth. Even when your ego is on its best behavior - it still is only ego and not who you really are. Who you really are is pure love, peace, joy, health, wholeness, wisdom . . . and on and on. You are made in the image and likeness of God - you are God within and that can never change. You only worry about ego if you indeed feel that ego is unconquerable, if ego will always get the best of you, if ego is stronger than your spirit. When you realize that your spirit is your truth and that it is strong and you remember who you are - it is then you will be able to surrender your ego to spirit's will. Then ego will be in its right place. Ego is not the enemy. Ego is to be observed, bringing you opportunity after opportunity to express God in every situation. You can be fully confident and trust that God is within you. He is within all equally. The difference is in the expression. The expression reflects how much ego has gotten out of the way, leaving more room for spirit to flow - or the opposite, ego is in the way and the spirit is barely getting out. Let go and trust. Falling into God's embrace of love means having to let go of what we are holding on to, to keep us stable. You are safe to let go and TRUST.
