What did I do?
Tell me.
I followed expert advice.
I obeyed authority.
I reasoned with righteous judgement.
I searched the Scriptures for explanations.
I prayed for understanding.
I sought the Light.
I worked Hard for knowledge.
What did I get in return?
A modicum of wisdom?
If so, I gave everything I ever earned for that morsel.
Friend?
You there?
Was it worth it?
Why me?
John
just up the road.
John, Stefan, I sure relate to this poem of yours.
So many times in the past I put my own heart and mind aside and followed someone else’s “better thinking”, later to my regret.
Now I am glad to follow God, and no one else.
I love your poetry.
Thank you.
Love and blessings,
Gloria

Oh, I don't know. I guess I'm a free spirit, happy with my life; completely satisfied within and figure God will work things out in the world when mankind decides to stop fighting each other and we all decide to work together for peace.

yes.
I was always one to look for someone else to tell me what to do.
I guess that's what first drove me to God.
I wanted Him to tell me what to do with my life.
Well. He did tell me.
He did guide me.
There's been tremendous resistance;
but growth and learning, too
necessary to my mission
all the way.
And steady progress,
though it didn't always appear that way to me.
