This movie is worth to spend 120 minutes of your life,
stories of different people connected in the hottest day of the year in Oslo.
Someone want to be in Hawaii
other want to be in Oslo
everyone is looking for love
their are all connected with the dream
but the think that shocked me - it was about angels...
It was about different people, but plot with angels shocked me.
Because movie did include this plot.

That's the title: "Hawaii, Oslo"
Movie is with it's age - first shown in 2004. It's a Erik Poppe's movie, and it was produced by Norway, Sweden and Dutch - that's quite interesting.... director from this part of world shown movie including this "angel plot" as i call it here.
And this part of the story touched me. I saw it one month ago in tiny movie theater, and i didn't know what to do after the movie. I know it's 2006 and lots of people feel and know things other refer as magic, but the magic shown in movie theater - that was something - of course it touched me, and i can't guarantee you will feel the same - i wish i could do that :)

Thankyou for indicating this movie. I'm afraid it's one of those minor productions that never get on the screens here in Italy. I'll try to find it anyway, because you made me really curious.

I quess it was same as in your country only for a week in big time cinemas. I found one small cinema called "Lemon" here in my city. It looks like a cafeteria. Sofas, tables and very calm place. I see the same cat in the cinema as always, like in uncles shop... . Everything in this "small family movie theater" is connected with yellow. You pay 1 Zloty less for each thing that is yellow you wear on yourself. I can be button in the shirt :) People often come with lemon - it still works.
After you buy ( it's 1,8 euro so it's extreamly cheap ) you get coffe, chocolate or tea. And after the Movie you can go to one of the pubs listed on ticked and get additional tea/coffe/beer. It is cheap because they don't play hollywood superproductions :) You can see this kind of movies but two monts after premiere. Everybody know faces of people who goes there. Great great movies shown and that's a great place for me.
Maybe you should look for the smalest cinema in your city and maybe you'll find minor productions shown from time to time :). Hope you see Hawaii,Oslo!

He he he, this movie was the topic for one of my assignments at the university. The angel-theme isn't very apparent though.
He (the character referred to earlier as the angel) also could be a Christ-figure, but no one really knows what Erik Poppe meant him to be... Don't think he ever told anyone, or wanted to comment, really!
Gosh, I debated this movie on so many levels, I think I'll just skip to the next post!
although I will of course do it in a proudly, Norwegian manner *strut*
