making comparisons

See How Your Heart Grows

God said:

Would it really be so hard to bring the world to its knees? Would it be so hard for the world to denounce misery and announce love instead? What would it take to erase suffering from the face of the Earth?

Suffering in the world has been like a contract ordered by the Mafia. Yet because a hit was once ordered does not mean it must be followed, and followed over and over and again and again.

A Secret to Letting Go of the Past

God said:

My children are usually making comparisons, from good to better or bad to worse. I wonder what life in the world would be if comparisons were not made. Perhaps one secret to life is to live without comparisons. Without comparisons, perhaps you would be happier with whatever life may bring you. You wouldn't be going back and forth and back again. You wouldn't think in terms of loss nor would you think in terms of gain. You would just be, and life would just be.

What You Are Left With

God said:

Making comparisons is tenuous. Making comparisons either lifts you up or puts you down, and so you put yourself at dis-ease. How do the cells of your body know what to think when you don't? One day you are wonderful and better than everyone else, and the next day you are deflated and can hardly lift your head.

When you inflate yourself, the cells of the body follow. When you negate yourself, the cells of your body also follow. What can they do but follow your thought?

Naked Truth

God said:

When you talk to Me, really talk to Me, your ego walks away. That is one of the beauties of talking to Me. You are not able to load yourself up with pretense when you appear before Me.

Your subterfuges leave, and there is you, and there is I, and We restate your life. We restate your take on life.

Naked were you born, and naked will you leave. Naked here does not mean unclothed. It means true, honest, real, unpretentious. You, without all the ruffles you have put around yourself, you, in your being.

The Lion and the Lamb

God said:

When you are in competition with one another, you are on a see-saw. Today you're up and tomorrow you're down. If you compare your life to another's, if you compare a moment of yours to another's, you are on a see-saw. Life is not about better or less. It is not about gaining or losing. It is not about winning or not winning.
