If you really like to laugh...

If you really like to laugh, check out my favorite TV comedy series "Arrested Development". It's about a formerly wealthy dysfunctional family and was originally shown on the Fox Channel. It now plays in reruns on the "G4" channel (whatever that is? - Ch.55 in my Comcast listing). It's currently on Sundays at 5 PM, and I think it's on at other times during the week too. It is so funny and smart...nothing like the current sitcoms on TV. Though the family is dysfunctional, their love and care for each other always shines through. "The series received six Emmy awards, one Golden Globe, copious critical acclaim, and a cult fan base" (Wikipedia) but never seemed to gather the following it needed to stay on the air. Ron Howard was the executive producer. It might help to have a slightly off-center sense of humor to appreciate it. I've watched it over and over and it still cracks me up!

I wouldn't mind a good

I wouldn't mind a good laugh! I'll look for it. Thanks, Membur!

Hi! I just remembered that

Hi! I just remembered that all 3 seasons are out on DVD and they might be available to rent at the video store. If you see it from the beginning you can follow the thread of family interactions, as well as the crazy escapades of the characters which continue from show to show, although each 1/2 hour show still stands on its own. I hope you get the opportunity to watch it. From what you've blogged, I think this might be just your type of humor. I, too, am a huge fan of the Daily Show and Colbert Report. I like a good comedy, or something on animals, or maybe science, or an interesting movie. (Have you seen "The Spanish Prisoner" with Steve Martin? Nothing is as it seems!) PBS has great shows. Comedy Central has some really funny stand-up comedians. ("Mind of Mencia" is not one of them.) Do you have the Current TV channel in your area? It's on digital cable (Comcast 107). It is amazing! I learn so much about what is going on in the world with real people.
What I dream of is a Spiritual channel on cable! What would you think of HeavenLetters on cable TV?
