Elysian Field - HL2639

Hi dear ones

Can any one help in finding a explanation what "Elysian Fields of Heaven" mean. My dictionary does not mention this. It must be someting wonderful !

A thankful day to all!

'Elisio' in the Greek

'Elisio' in the Greek religion was the place in the afterworld where 'the just and the righteous' people went after death. The romans called it Campi Elisi, that is Elysian Fields in English.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for asking this question.

Paula is right, dear Stefan.

I think of Elysian Fields as another name for Heaven. I found a little more in a dictionary:

Elysian fields
(ĭlĭzh'ən) or Elysium (ĭlĭzh'ēəm) , in Greek religion and mythology, happy otherworld for heroes favored by the gods. Identified with the Fortunate Isles or Isles of the Blest, Elysium was situated in the distant west, at the edge of the world.
